Many times you do not want to print the entire Sheet. You only want to print out a range of data that you need. That’s when we need to select the print area in Excel.
While printing an Excel Sheet, sometimes you do not want to print all the data contained in this Sheet. Sometimes you just want to print out a small area of data that you need. That’s when you need to select the print area in Excel, when you only want to limit a certain print area, not the entire Excel Sheet.
You must highlight the area you want to limit to print. Click and hold the left mouse button and drag to make a selection.
Then you open the ribbon Page Layout in the toolbar and find the . icon Print Area.
You click on it and choose Set Print Area to select the print area in Excel.
Then you try to open the print mode by going to the ribbon File on the toolbar. Then click on Print.
You can see on the right side is the area Print Preview then the A4 page only has the content of the print area you selected. Or you can press the key combination Ctrl + P to open print mode.
Now you can do printing without worrying that the printed content is overflowing to another part.
To delete the selected print area, you just need to go back to the ribbon Page Layout. Then click on the icon Print Area and select the line Clear Print Area.
