If you enjoy planning your work and activities, setting reminders will help a lot. They will wake you up, remind you of a meeting or even remind you to take your medicine.
1. Use the Reminders app on Mac
Just like on iPhone, you can also use Reminders on your Mac to schedule events and tasks you need to do in the future. At the same time, you are also notified when the event is coming up.
Step 1: Open the app Reminder in your Dock, if you don’t see it, look for it in Launchpad.
Step 2: You click Add list in the lower left corner to create a new reminder list.
Step 3: Name the new list. Here, I create a “To-Do” list to add work-related reminders. In addition, you can create lists like “Housework”, “Health”, “Study”…
Step 4: Make sure you’ve selected the new list in the menu on the left, then click Plus in the upper right corner to add a reminder.
Step 5: Name the reminder, then select the item Add Date >> Customize to set the event time.
Step 6: Here you can choose a specific time to set the reminder.
Step 7: In the third part, you can choose the location of the event.
With that, you have successfully set a reminder for a future task. Before the event takes place, you will receive a notification on your computer as shown below.
2. Set reminders on Mac using the Calendar app
Calendar is not only used for you to see the date, it is an application that helps you set reminders very effectively.
Step 1: Click on the icon Launchpad on your Dock.
Step 2: Import Calendar in the search box and open this app.
Step 3: Select the date on which you want to set the reminder. Right click and select new event.
Step 4: Name the event, the task that you need to perform. Then click on the line to set the time.
Step 5: Choose an event start and end time. Choose Warning if you want to set an alarm.
Step 6: Here you can choose the alarm Before x minutes/hours/day. If you need to set some alarm customizations such as ringtones, select Custom…
Your alarm is now set and will automatically sync with other Apple devices. To delete an event, simply right click on it and select Erase.
