The cool 3D zoom effect on the TikTok videos you watch is actually very simple to do. The secret lies in the professional video editing application – CapCut.
How to make 3D Zoom videos in CapCut following the TikTok trend
There may have been a few times when you have seen videos on TikTok that use the impressive 3D Zoom effect. In essence, the content of the video is still images, but it feels like there is movement and clear depth.
Here is an example:
Basically, this is a video consisting of 11 photos with 3D Zoom applied. They appear one after another to the rhythm of Playaphonk’s “Phonky Town”. The way to make this video is quite simple as follows:
Step 1: First, you need to prepare 11 photos to make a video. Plus download the CapCut mobile app Iphone or Android.
Step 2: Open CapCut and press “New project“.
Step 3: You switch to tab Picturethen click select 11 photos in the correct order you want to sort.
(You have to tap the little circle on each photo to select it)
Step 4: Press More when all 11 images have been selected.
Step 5: All photos have now been added to CapCut’s editor. Our next task is to apply 3D Zoom effect to each image.
You press to the first photo on the timeline (first).
Then choose Style (2).
Step 6: You swipe left at the bottom effect bar to find Zoom in 3D. There are 2 3D Magnification effects side by side, the first one providing a stronger motion effect.
But here we use the second effect according to the TikTok trend.
Step 7: You slide the timeline to the left, to select and apply 3D Magnification to each of the remaining photos.
When done, tap Mark in the lower right corner.
Step 8: Back to the original editing screen, now shorten the appearance of the photos (by dragging the right margin inward).
- The first 4 photos have a duration of 0.5s
- The remaining photos are 0.3s
CapCut will automatically add an ending at the end of the video, you can choose it and Erase it goes.
Step 9: Once you’ve shortened the duration of all your photos, your video is now visually ready, only the music remains. We will add the Phonky Town track in TikTok.
At CapCut’s editing screen, press Share (arrow pointing up icon) in the upper right corner >> Share to TikTok.
Step 10: The video will now be transferred to the TikTok app for further processing, select Sound.
Step 11: Are you looking for a song? Phonky Town and choose the first one. Press Mark to add music to the video.
Step 12: Now that the music has been added to the video, all you have to do is Post just to share the product that I just made!
It seems to be complicated, but actually “trending” TikTok is very simple, isn’t it? CapCut is a powerful video editing application, use it often to create interesting videos!
