Minecraft is a sandbox game originally created by Markus “Notch” Persson, maintained by Mojang AB, and part of Xbox Game Studios (then known as Microsoft Studios). It is strongly inspired by Infiniminer.
Explore endless worlds and build everything from the simplest houses to the largest castles. Play in creative mode with unlimited resources or dig deep into the world in survival mode, crafting weapons and armor to fend off dangerous mobs. Create, explore, and survive alone or with friends on mobile or Windows 10.
Minecraft is focused on allowing players to explore, interact with, and modify dynamically generated maps made from one-cubic-meter blocks. In addition to blocks, the environment has factories, mobs, and items. Some of the activities in the game include ore mining, fighting hostile mobs, and crafting new blocks and tools by collecting various resources found in the game.
The game’s open-ended model allows players to create structures, creations, and artwork across various multiplayer servers or their own player maps. Other features include red circuits for logic calculations and remote actions, minecarts and tracking, and a mysterious underworld known as the Nether.
